Would Samsung Galaxy S3 be a legendary after Apple iPhone?
Recently, Samsung the world’s largest phone maker, releases the new smart phone - the Galaxy S III. In the tide of Apple iPhone, Sumsang may hew out their path.
The two are very different specimens of Smartphone. The iPhone 4S is a beautifully designed bit of glass and aluminum kit that sits nicely in the hand and will still look good 18 months into your contract. It does look a bit dated now though considering it's 9.3mm thick, chunky by 2012 standards.
The Galaxy S3 meanwhile is quite a bit bigger in size – including a 4.8in display. So while it might not be so comfortable for the small-handed gadgeteer when making calls, the pebble-inspired "Hyperglaze" finish on the skinny 8.3mm plastic body looks much more premium than its predecessor, the Galaxy S II. For now, we'll give this one to the iPhone 4S but it's really down to personal preference.
Analysts say the popularity of the previous Galaxy - the S2 - was a major factor in the firm overtaking Nokia to become the world's best-selling mobile phone maker.
Samsung said that the new Super Amoled (active-matrix organic light-emitting diode) display was 22% larger than its predecessor, but the actual device was not much wider since it had shrunk the size of the bezel.
The development allows Samsung to boast it has a slightly larger screen than the 4.7 inch dimensions of the HTC One X, the top of the range model from its Taiwanese rival.

It is also significantly bigger than the 3.5 inch display of Apple's iPhone 4S and the 4.3 inch screen of Nokia's Lumia 900.
Samsung may have been influenced by the popularity of its phone/tablet hybrid, the Galaxy Note, which has an even bigger screen and has proved to be more popular than many industry watchers had forecast.
Now Samsung is king of the phone market. It recently dethroned Nokia to become the world’s largest phone maker, when both traditional cell phones and Smartphone are factored in. It also surpassed Apple recently to become the world’s largest Smartphone maker, according to IDC, the research firm. In the United States, it is the No. 2 maker of smartphones, behind Apple and ahead of HTC, according to the NPD Group, a research firm.
NPD said that Samsung was performing so well in the smartphone market because so many carriers were selling and promoting its phones.
The Galaxy S III will arrive in Europe this month before it is released globally, Samsung said.

Keith Haring (May 4, 1958 – February 16, 1990) was an artist and social activist whose work responded to the New York City street culture of the 1980s.

Today, Google has replaced its usual homepage logo with a new artistic logo to commemorate the 54th birth anniversary of Keith Haring. The doodle uses normal Google colors - blue, red, yellow and green, but it has been created in a way, which looks pleasing and makes the viewer feel energized in the first look.
If you notice, you will find that the doodle features a bunch of people dancing and celebrating. And every element in this doodle has to express something. The first 'O' in this Google doodle looks like a superman, who is trying to fly high. The dance moves in the doodle can make you think - for a moment - these hippies have gathered to dance in someone's birthday party.

New analysis of US mobile users for the first three months of 2012 has found the Android OS thundering ahead of arch rival Apple, powering 51% of all (consumer) smartphones – ahead of iOS 30% share.
According to The NPD Group, Samsung now sells one in four U.S. smartphones, bolstered by growing pre-paid sales.

According to The NPD Group, a leading market research company, Samsung has become a dominant manufacturer of Android smartphones in the U.S. Samsung's share of the smartphone market grew 140 percent in the first quarter of 2012, over the prior year, to reach 24 percent. Apple continues to lead smartphone manufacturers in Q1, rising 7 percent in Q1, over the same period last year, to capture 29 percent of the market. During the same period, smartphone models manufactured by LG, HTC, Motorola, and RIM all experienced market-share declines. The rise of the pre-paid market contributed to Samsung's growth. Part of the rise for pre-paid handsets were smartphones. In the absence of an Apple prepaid option, Android phones accounted for 79 percent of the pre-paid smartphone market in Q1. Four in 10 pre-paid smartphones (38 percent) sold in the U.S. were manufactured by Samsung.
"Samsung is the only market leader from the feature phone era to transition to market leadership in the smartphone era in the U.S.," said Ross Rubin, executive director, Connected Intelligence for The NPD Group. "Its broad carrier support and advertising - particularly in the ascendant pre-paid segment - have helped it achieve the highest market share among Android handset providers in the U.S."

Google Android and Apple iOS – Battle Heal Up
Android and iOS is now the two giant smart phone and tablet system which are all the main stream system in the world.
A new report detailing how big a share of the market each Android tablet had in February just came out, and one tablet is standing head and shoulders above the competition.
We have called this the “Android vs Apple iPhone: Users argument saga”, and no doubt comments will prove what we are saying here. All the users here would have their opinion about the Smartphone. Is the iPhone better than the Samsung Galaxy serials or Amazon’s Kindle Fire tablet is better than iPad?
Obviously there is a huge following of both iOS and Android and at times they will clash over differences, which at times get played out in an argument saga on social networks such a Google+ and Facebook, and although we have to stay out of such user arguments and remain impartial, we too at times have a difference of opinion, as personally I prefer Android while a couple of my colleagues prefer iOS, and the debate sometimes gets a bit heated.
Android vs. Apple
Android stills lags behind Apple, which owned nearly 60% of the total tablet market in Q4 2011, even though that number was down around 10% from the same quarter the year before. Apple sold 15.4 million units in that quarter, compared to 10.5 for all Android tablets combined.
Amazon is clearly the preferred Android tablet at the moment, but it might have some extra competition soon, as reports are coming out about a possible Google tablet being launched this summer. Whether a Google tablet would boost the overall Android market, or just cut into sales from Amazon, remains to be seen.
The comScore report also notes that tablets with the largest screens have the most page views and that AT&T is the preferred choice in three of the top five states, with Verizon holding on to the other two.

How the searching result would be changed by updating Google Panda Algorithm?
Recently, Google gradually changed its search algorithm to fight spam and improved its search results to become cleaner, more informative and more relevant. “Overly optimized”-Google defined it as keyword stuffing and link schemes. Although Google update its search algorithm to make its searchbot smarter, more people doubted that the revolution result is better or worse.

Viagra: Missing Official Site & Many Other Problems
One of the first queries I did to check on the new algorithm’s impact was for “viagra,” because that search is a natural magnet for the type of spam that Google seeks to wipeout with this update. If that was the goal, Google had a big miss here:
Most glaringly, Google fails to list the official Viagra site in the top results, something that Bing gets right.
Overdose Advice? Bing Beats Google
Another example from a comment on our original story was about “how many pills does it take to overdose,” where Google is taken to task for featuring Q&A sites, places like Yahoo Answers, where anyone rather than an actual expert can give advice.
Here’s the side-by-side, Google on the left, Bing on the right. Again, I spaced things out a bit, but the ranking order is the same:
As you can see, both Google and Bing favor Q&A sites. I’d agree, that’s not optimal for this type of search. You’d rather get information from respected medical web sites, and not information on how to commit an overdose but what to do if you suspect you’ve accidentally done that. Neither deliver.
One of the biggest reasons for this failure is probably that the medical web sites simple don’t have content written in this type of plain language. If there’s nothing but garbage out there, garbage is what you’re going to get back.
Still, Bing gets the edge because Google has three completely irrelevant answers coming up, pages with nothing to do with the search topic. It was also disappointing not to see Google kick in the special suicide prevention information that it does offer for some searches.
Apple storm sweep China again
April 25, Apple released second quarter earnings by March 31, 2012. In this period, Apple achieves the revenue of $39.186 billion with increase 59% year growth; as well as realize net profit of $11.622 billion, an increase of 94% year growth. Those all shows that Apple’s revenue hit a record high in China which is 20% in worldwide.
The explosion boom in China market is beyond Apple CEO Cook imagination in earnings conference. Last month, he visited Apple store in XIDAN JOYCITY as Apple CEO, visit China Mobile, China union, met China officials, which are all regards as making up for ignoring attitude for China market before. In the mean time, he will increase the investment in China market.
All the status and figure all show that Apple would have more space in China market.
"We note that iPhone product cycles appear to be getting increasingly pronounced, with fiscal first quarter and second quarter benefiting from very strong iPhone 4S product cycles in the US and China respectively," said Toni Sacconaghi, analyst with Bernstein Research, adding he expected the next couple of quarters
Cook revealed some of that passion at the February conference. Toward the end of the talk, he said there was "no better thrill" for him than going to a gym or to Starbucks and seeing people using their iPhones or iPads.
"These are the things that bring a smile to my face, and there is no replacement or substitute for that," Cook said.

iPhone 5 storm, who can hold on?
After unveiling a marginally improved iPhone 4S in 2011 in stead of a radically different iPhone 5, Apple has returned to its development labs to cook up (no pun intended) the next iteration of its popular phone. In 2012, rumor about iPhone 5 is flying all over the world. What scene you can imagine? iPhone fans are standing in a never end queue to wait for the new iPhone.
Despite what critics were quick to call a “modest upgrade”, the iPhone 4S burst out of the gate this past October and quickly became Apple’s most popular iPhone ever. But as with all things Apple, the focus isn’t on what they’ve done, but tends to fall on what they’re going to do.
That said, and pushing aside rumors of an Apple HDTV for a second, Apple’s next big product launch will likely be the iPhone 5, though depending on who you ask, it may simply be called “The new iPhone” a’la the recently released iPad.
Addressing the issue, the Maeil Business Newspaper, based out of South Korea, recently published an article wherein they asked the head of human resources at one of Fox Conn’s plants about the iPhone 5 release dates, to which the HR honcho reportedly said, “We just got the order. It [the release] will be around October.”
It’s hard to take any of this at face value, given that it is April, but reports of hiring ramping up have been making the rounds as of late.
But more importantly, it makes more business sense for Apple to give the iPhone 4S a full 12-month life cycle, thereby making October a good bet for the iPhone 5 launch.
